Prestige Homeseeker & Park and Leisure Homes Charity Golf Day for the Mintridge Foundation, October 2019

On a glorious Friday in October, Prestige & Homeseeker Park and Leisure Homes got together with their friends, family, colleagues and work network for a wonderful day of Golf and to raise funds for The Mintridge Foundation in the beautiful setting of the Springs Golf Club in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The golf is yet another fun filled day amongst Prestige’s busy schedule of fundraising events for their charity partner in 2019 and everyone at the charity is incredibly grateful.

As the golfers arrived, ready for a great day of golf in the sunshine, they were welcomed by Prestige Homeseeker Park and Leisure Homes’ Founder Director, Silvano Geranio and the excellent organisers at The Springs Golf Club including Ashley Pheasant.

During breakfast, the players attempted to ‘spot the ball’ in our Mintridge Ambassador inspired challenge where they also got to learn a little bit more about our fantastic Mintridge Mentors. It was also an opportunity for the golfers to attempt to guess how many balls were in the box and take part in our Mintridge raffle, that would be drawn later in the day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gurvinder Patara and the Purchasing for Parks team for your generosity in providing the raffle prizes for our player, your support is paramount for an event of this nature and we simply couldn’t do it without you.

In anticipation of the shotgun start, the golfers headed out on to the immaculate course, in attempt to win some of the day’s top prizes, including; top team, closest to the pin and the longest drive. Thank you very much to Gateway Chassis Ltd for your generous sponsorship of “Closest to the Pin”.

On the launch of the firework, the teams set off within their fellow players, followed closely by Team Mintridge who were ready to capture some very special moments in the photo and video content capturing the day. We even managed to snap the shots that didn’t quite hit the target…

As the golfers reconvened after a busy day of playing, they sat together for dinner and caught up on some of the better shots from the day. The Springs Golf Club served an excellent dinner buffet, that left the golfers feeling very content.

Before the Friday afternoon traffic called, Silvano took to the floor to give his thanks to the excellent work of his team and the golf club and the fundraising that had gone on throughout the day. It was at this point Team Mintridge had the chance to introduce the Foundation and talk about the excellent work that is happening across the country and the amazing Programmes that can happen as a result of the fundraising from Team Prestige and our corporate funders.

As the day ended, it was time to announce the eagerly anticipated awards and find out who would be the overall winner of the day. The raffle and challenge winners were announced, and we were so pleased that they would receive two tickets to a Northampton Saints match, a Middlesex Cricket game at Lord’s and some fantastic prizes donated by our friends at Purchasing for Parks.

The results will be announced here soon.

The year as Prestige Homeseeker & Park and Leisure Homes’ Official Charity Partner continues to go from strength to strength. The overall total of fundraising has reached over £31,000 now which is incredible. We would especially like to thank the hard work of Silvano Geranio and Rachel Stallard for all that you have done to make this day such a success ensuring that valuable funds are raised for Team Mintridge.
